Although this is spring, a winter wind blows,
Darkness upon me, that no one has known.
A bullet, a pill, a bridge, or a rope,
After a brave fight, can no longer cope.
And Swans Sing
Now come the flashings, of times long since gone,
Times when this Darkness, didn't feel quite so strong.
Times filled with laughter, with joy and friendship,
Times when this Darkness, had less of a grip.
And Swans Sing
Now come the flashings, of things yet to pass,
Times when Hope would rule, and Darkness held fast.
Times when this anguish, would seem but a dream,
Times when the healing, would make my smile beam.
And Swans Sing
I want to go back, I know now
No words will soothe the pain,
No hug will replace your lover's embrace,
No friend's company will fill the void left by the companion you lost.
But One Day, you will smile again.
One Day, you will laugh again.
One Day, you will once again find joy.
But today is not One Day.
Today, remember the smiles, the laughs and the joy;
and remember the happiness that was granted to you,
if only for what feels like the briefest of times.
Tomorrow, you will find your courage.
Tomorrow, you will find your strength.
Tomorrow, you'll be one day closer, to One Day.
